But Valve made it and sold it.This bind script is a toggle on/toggle off script. If a fan made it and released it for free, fine. It's mostly playable with fan-made mods that aim to fix the broken parts, but it still feels every bit like the shitty half-assed port that it is. While Steam and the Source engine kept updating, HL Source did not, so the issues just kept piling on. It all just felt half-assed when it was released since all it did was some slightly better lighting, ragdoll physics and water fx, while still charging for it even if you own HL1 and/or HL2, and it feels ten times more half-assed now because Valve just gave up on fixing any of it. And all the surfaces are inexplicably shiny for some reason, like someone doused everything in Vaseline. Some were by design, like the jump height is higher so you can actually glitch out animations by jumping on characters heads or skip past whole parts of the game just because you can jump a bit higher and take less damage. We're talking random lighting issues where objects/characters appear completely black, item spawns not working right, animations being broken, skill settings being broken, random crashes, soft locking in the game if you press a button a few times fast, random stuff blowing up between level loads, ragdolls not working right and the list goes on. It's not actually so bad, more like a combination of Valve first releasing a disappointing port with a fair amount of issues and very limited benefits and then completely abandoning it, resulting in a ton of unaddressed bugs and glitches, some of which are outright game breaking.
